Reimagined in 2020, and upgraded from 39mm to 41mm, the new Oyster Perpetual is seemingly Rolex’s response to the demand for larger watches. The 41mm Oyster Perpetual still sits comfortably on the wrist.
 
With the new 41mm Oyster Perpetuals, Rolex took this opportunity to introduce the lacquered colored dials (called the Stella dials) to bring a bit more fun and pop to the line. The new reference also features double indices at 3, 6, and 9. While arguably less elegant than its previous reference, the new 41mm is certainly more fun and modern.
 
Also new for the 41mm is the Rolex Calibre 3230, a heavily upgraded and state-of-the-art 3-hand movement. The 3230 features the new Chronergy escapement, made from nickel and phosphorous and is impervious to magnetic fields. The calibre’s oscillator is also fitted onto Rolex’s in-house patented Paraflex shock absorbers to increase shock resistance.
