One of the most popular Panerai models to date, this PAM 24 comes complete with a 44mm Bettarini-style case, with slab sides and edges, rather than the cushioned 1950s case. The Bettarini case (named after Alessandro Bettarini) was introduced as a way to modernize the Panerai casing to compete better with modern dive watches.
 
Quick-release lugs puts this model at the latter half of the production series, and the original Panerai diver strap features channels down its center, reducing the thickness of the watch and making it more pliable.
 
The bezel is one of the best in the industry, smooth and easy and the luminous dial really pops when used for its intended purpose: diving at night.
